Maine

Beautiful landscapes with plenty of hiking calls for a cold beverage to quench your thirst. Here is a list of some breweries that I have personally been to in Maine and have included my opinion about each.

Brewery Reviews

Bangor

  • Sea Dog Brewing Co.:
    • About the Space:
      • American brewpub on the riverside known for its handcrafted beers, from pale ale to raspberry wheat. They have some decent food items on their menu.
    • About the Beer:
      • Overall most of their beers are just average, so don’t go out of your way to stop here. But if you do, try their Hazelnut Porter and the Aren’t You Hoppy? IPA.

Bar Harbor

  • Atlantic Brewing Company:
    • About the Space:
      • Microbrewery that is in the middle of nowhere. They have daily tours with tastings of beers like blueberry ale plus (delicious) house-made sodas for kids.
    • About the Beer:
      • Their beers are average, but their sodas are phenomenal. Try the Old Soaker Root Beer for soda. Get the Ellen’s Coffee Stout for beer.
