Copenhagen
- Carlsberg:
- About the Space:
- I normally don’t condone supporting any macro brewery, the Visit Carlsberg Experience was fun. The only reason I went was because the tour was included with the Copenhagen City Card. Overall the tour was OK, as it was self guided and you get free two beers at the end. Worth the free beer if you get the Copenhagen Card!
- About the Beer:
- They have been dabbling more into craft beer lately, but still nothing spectacular. The Brown Ale by their offshoot brand Jacobsen is worth a mention.
- About the Space:
- Fermentoren:
- About the Space:
- Cozy, chill hangout in the basement of a building. Voted as one of the best beer bars in the world, and for good reason! Prices are quite reasonable for Denmark, too.
- About the Beer:
- They have a great selection of craft beer on tap, and the staff is very knowledgeable, so ask for a recommendation!
- About the Space:
- Mikkeler & Friends:
- About the Space:
- Hip, minimalist style space that offers a wide selection of craft brews. Quite a nice place to relax with friends or a day of work.
- About the Beer:
- Some of the best beer from Denmark, so definitely check out this place. I enjoyed their Citra Imperial IPA and the Simcoe Double IPA.
- About the Space:
- Nørrebro Bryghus:
- About the Space:
- Located in a hip, up and coming area, they have some quality beer options. The place is quite large, spanning two floors. One area is more of a bar and the other is seating for food.
- About the Beer:
- I thought that their beer was fairly decent and worthy of a visit to the taphouse. The Pale Ale Shmale Ale and the King’s County Brown ale were good brews.

- Taphouse:
- About the Space:
- Although not a brewery, this place deserves a mention since you’re likely to pass by while sightseeing. The place is quite spacious and they have good happy hour specials.
- About the Beer:
- HUGE selection of craft beer from around the world.
- About the Space:
- Warpigs Brewpub:
- About the Space:
- Felt like a BBQ joint that also served craft beer… so basically a typical BBQ joint in the US!
- About the Beer:
- Quite expensive, but they have a good selection of styles for you to choose from. Overall the beer was quite tasty. I liked the Lazurite IPA.
